What is Direct to Garment Printing (DTG)?

DTG is a process of printing on textiles and garments using specialized or modified inkjet technology. The two key requirements of a DTG printer are a transport mechanism for the garment and specialty inks (inkjet textile inks) that are applied to the textile directly and are absorbed by the fibers. The photo is an untouched example.

Why use Direct to Garment Printing?

We currently produce all our garments via DTG. This means we don’t carry any inventory on hand each shirt is custom made after it’s ordered. This helps us  keep cost down and is more environmentally friendly as there is no unused inventory.

What inks are you using for printing apparel?

Our apparel is created with the latest in garment printing technology. In addition, our inks are water based and eco-friendly. This makes the feel much softer than traditional screen printed shirts, but just as durable.

We’re using CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) compliant inks, which are required when printing on children’s wear 12 and below.

How durable is the printed artwork on the shirts?

Our experience shows us that our shirts are just as durable after repeatedly washing and drying as any other screen-printed t-shirt.

Discoloration or Off white residue?

You may notice some discoloration or off white residue on your apparel. Do not worry! This is a special solution used for printing and can sometimes leave marks during the drying process. These are not stains and will wash off after the first wash cycle. Our apparel is created with the latest in garment printing technology. In addition, our inks are water based and eco-friendly. This makes the feel much softer than traditional screen printed shirts, but just as durable!
